The Domaines Barons de Rothschild is the Rothschild family group with their wine properties (Château Lafite-Rothschild, Duhart-Milon, Rieussec, Gospel, Paradis Casseuil, Peyre-Lebade, Château d'Aussières in Languedoc, Vascos in Chile, and Bodegas Caro in Argentina). The group also produces a range of generic, more accessible and everyday wines.

Château Lafite-Rothschild needs no introduction, so grand is its renown and so rich in history its vineyard. The Rothschild family has expanded its reach across several domains, always inspired by their famous Château and their traditional philosophy. This Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild is a blend of several vintages of Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%). There is a very low dosage of 3 grams added, before the wine is kept for 9-12 months. It has a bright hue with hints of gold that reveal delicate and lasting bubbles. It has a very light nose with aromas of pear, nuts, white flowers and a touch of toasted notes. It is lively on the palate with a consistent strength that makes this a rather well-rounded wine. A light and complex Champagne! Serve it at around 9°C with a fruit sorbet, lemon tart or scallops.
