Information
Originally from South Korea, Mee Godard can't claim to have wine in her blood. Her ancestors were certainly not winemakers but her adoptive parents encouraged her to spread her wings in the viticultural industry. So armed with several degrees in biology, biochemistry and oenology, Mee Godard acquired a few hectares of vines in Beaujolais, a region she is fond of for the beauty of its landscapes. It was on Morgon that she set her sights in 2013 before falling in love with some other beautiful vines in Moulin-à-Vent in 2016. There, inspired by the local tenets of the natural wine movement, she forged ahead in producing deep, dense, elegant and lively wines with splendid freshness thanks to an organic growth and Burgundian vinification. One thing is certain, this woman will go far, bringing the future of Beaujolais with her. She is definitely one to watch.
Matured in demi-muids, this Morgon comes from old Gamay vines which offer a wine of great depth and intense complexity. The wine reveals a supple texture and a good structure as well as aromas of dark fruits and gentle spices. On the whole, its freshness brings elegance and liveliness.
