Information
The Château Labégorce Zédé vineyard is unusual because it is split across three communes, Marsac, Soussans and Margaux. The Perrodo family, which owns Labégorce and Labégorce Zédé châteaux (as well as Marquis d'Alesme), decided to combine the two Labégorce vineyards into a single cru.
Château Labégorce’s second wine, Zédé is mainly made of Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The estate chose to mature its wine for a year in casks (30% new wood). Tasting this wine reveals a particularly ripe profile with strong, fruity notes. The supple, elegant tannins ensure that it has cellaring potential and allow for lovely, regional food pairings
