Information
The spearhead of the Languedoc wine revolution, Mas Jullien was created by Olivier Jullien in 1985. Located in Joncquières, to the north of Montpellier, the domain covers 18 hectares. By studying his soils carefully and using native grape varieties, Olivier Jullien has elevated his domain to the highest levels of excellence, producing refined, subtle, perfectly-balanced wines. The vineyard is cultivated in an environmentally friendly way, and was even organically certified for a while. Olivier Jullien produces superb wines which are acknowledged and sought out by connoisseurs and professionals alike. Thanks to his work, the domain is now clearly at the very peak of the appellation.
An emblematic figure of Languedoc, Mas Jullien has here created a surprising wine. Chenin, Viognier and Grenache Blanc, grown in clay, chalk and silica soil using biodynamic methods, were air-dried before fermentation. The wine has a beautiful golden colour, and an intense aromatic bouquet marked by notes of apple, almond and exotic fruit. The palate is generous with an undertone of generous acidity which brings a lovely freshness to it.
