About the producer

La Charbonnière has been passed down from one generation to the next since it was bought by Eugène Maret in 1912. Today, his descendants Caroline and Véronique Maret preside over 27 hectares which straddle the Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Vacqueyras and Côtes-du-Rhône appellations. Together, and under the watchful eye of their father Michel, they continue their family's traditional methods by growing grapes by plot and favouring sustainable growing; adhering to the lunar calendar, they use natural fertilisers and harvest by hand.
