Information
The Domaine Daniel Bouland is located in Corcelette in Beaujolais, between Villié-Morgon and Chiroubles and consists of eight hecatres of beautiful terroir and old vines. Daniel Bouland comes from a family of winemakers and the family estate is shared with his brother Raymond who produces in Villié-Morgon. Daniel Bouland's wines are characterised by their body and their beautiful intensity of fruit while their minerality subtly reflects the terroir. Good wine at an interesting price!
Mélanie is Daniel Bouland’s daughter, and this cuvée is from a small parcel on Mount Brouilly. Exposed to the south, the vines are planted in pebbly soil rich in blue rock. This parcel tends to yield fewer grapes than the other parcels from the domain, making the fruit more concentrated. Due to its slope, this parcel is worked entirely by hand, including various organic methods that are followed.
On the palate, this wine has an explosion of red and black fruit that might surprise you! If you give it a bit of time, it will reveal softer notes in a true Gamay style. We recommend serving this wine with a dish like rabbit or poached egg with wine sauce.
