Bourgueil Marsaules Domaine du Bel Air
Information
About the producer

It was in 1995 when the owner Pierre Gauthier produced his first vintage in this domain of the Loire valley. Over time, he achieved a solid reputation thanks to his work and his profound wines. Today he is assisted by his son Rodolphe and both insist on applying methods which respect the environment.

About the wine

The Les Marsaules cuvée comes from a sand and chalk-rich terroir. After 24 months of ageing in third or fourth fill barrels, this Bourgueil takes on an intense ruby colour and prominent black fruit, forest fruit and smoky notes. The rich palate has a well-defined mineral backbone and a lightly-spiced finish. This is a wine you can enjoy today or within its first six years.
