Information
Domain Le Roc is in the heart of the Fronton appellation, between Tarn and the Garonne. Although it has no certification, the 22 hectares of vines are cultivated according to sustainable principles. Grass grows between the vines and sheep are allowed to graze. Négrette is the dominant grape, producing generous, sincere and deliciously fruity wines.
Montus XL is one of Alain Brumont’s finest cuvées. As its name suggests, this wine is out of the ordinary. Here, the Tannat grape takes on one of its most concentrated expressions for Madiran and is very similar to a top-class Ribera del Duero from Spain. The nose suggests blackcurrant, prunes and black olives. The palate is full and very rich but perfectly balanced, while the finish develops into chocolate-flavoured aromas.
