Information
Elisabeth and Marie-Laurence Saladin, the daughters of Louis and Annick Saladin, are now at the head of the estate that has been in the family for 21 generations, since 1422. Using organic methods, the 18 hectares are located on the terraces of Saint Marcel d'Ardèche. There, they tend Carignan, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Viognier, Clairette Rose, Clairette Blanche, Bourbenlec, Marsanne and Roussanne vines.
The hand harvested grapes and carefully sorted in the winery before they are vinified using natural yeasts. It results in wines that perfectly reflect the characteristics of the terroir. The red wines are matured in oak barrels and concrete vats, while the white and rosé wines are matured in stainless steel vats.
This cuvée is made of Syrah and Viognier, harvested by hand and vinified together. These grape varieties have been vinified with native yeasts and the wine has been aged in oak foudres for 9 months. Suitable for aging for 10 years, it offers up a silky and distinguished palate and aromatic persistence enhanced by great freshness at the finish.
