Information
Created in the 17th century, this family domain has been handed down from father to son since its creation. Matthieu Delaporte has been at the head of the domain since 2010, looking after 33 hectares of vines (majority of Sauvignon Blanc). He has given the domain a new revival. The harvests are manual, and the grapes are farmed according to organic principles so as to allow them to express their original terroir.
This cuvée is produced from forty-year-old vines cultivated in a clay and flint soil using traditional, sustainable methods. After harvesting by hand, the grapes are macerated for around twenty days in order to extract colours and aromas. The wine is matured for one year in 228-litre casks and bottled without fining or filtration. On tasting, it reveals a seductively deep colour with purplish hints. Its palate stands out from other regional Sancerre wines for its depth, full body and generosity. Enlivened by an attractive acidity, it will benefit from several years' keeping.
