Château des Laurets
Information
About the producer

Located on the Bordeaux right bank, château des Laurets has belonged to the Compagnie Viticole Baron Edmond de Rothschild since 2003. It stands out thanks to its positioning on two appellations : Montagne-Saint-Emilion and Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion. The vines are mainly 20 years old and benefit from the influence of the clay-limestone terroir and fine southern exposure. Yields are low and harvesting is done by hand. Vinification takes place in various containers such as wood, concrete and stainless steel. élevage is carried out in new barrels.

About the wine

This Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion stands out thanks to its aromatic bouquet that subtly blends notes of red and black fruit with those from the élevage such as smoke and sweet spices. On the palate, we find Merlot through a supple and silky texture. This wine will become more harmonious after several years and will pair beautifully with tender meats.
