Information
The domain's history began in 2006 when Rémi Dufaitre and Laurence Liatard decided to purchase vines in the areas around Brouilly. Immediately, Rémi Dufaitre stood apart thanks to his organic work and, while selling his berries to the local cooperative, he favoured vinification with native yeasts. Inspired and supported by the icons of the “natural” movement, the two wine growers decide to make their own wine by vinifying the grapes in a traditional manner using carbonic maceration. Today they are an indisputable benchmark in the region.
The Juliénas produced by this rising star of a domain has an attractive ruby-red colour, and a bouquet releasing typical notes of carbonic maceration: red and black berries, sweet spices and minerals. The palate is fluid, yet structured by a number of tannins, suggesting an ageing potential of at least five years in the cellar.
