Information
In the heart of the Côte de Nuits' grands crus and spread over three of its renowned villages (Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée), domain François Confuron-Gindre has farmed Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils for six generations. Traditional methods have been maintained throughout this time, with traditional élevages imparting good aging potential. The lunar calendar is respected, particularly during bottling. One thing is certain: each and every generation innovates and brings their own personal touch, all the while retaining age-old traditions.
The domain has retained a traditional maturation in oak barrels from different coopers. A long malolactic fermentation takes place given the temperature of the cellar. Bottling is done at the domain following the lunar calendar. The wine obtained is silky, lively, and fruity. There are hints of blackcurrant and spice, and the attack is lively. The palate is pleasant and balanced with lovely, fruity notes. To be aged in the cellar for some years to appreciate all the aromas.
