Information
The Quevedo house is a family business which belongs to the up-and-coming generation of independent wine producers in the Douro Valley. Its wines achieved an international reputation in 1986, when Portugal joined the European Union and introduced new measures around exports.
La Maison Quevedo offers a port made with destemmed grapes which are fermented at length at a controlled temperature. Its light hue with orange highlights is an immediate winner. It has a rich bouquet of maple syrup, caramel and praline secondary notes. There is a subtle contrast on the palate, with well-integrated tartness. The finish is intense with touches of nut and roasted flavours. This Colheita port is a perfect pairing with full-flavoured foods such as roast chestnuts or crème brûlée.
