Every since its foundation, the Abadia Retuerta domaine has been committed to honouring the legacy it has received, both in terms of the land and the expertise of its previous owners. This philosophy is based on vinification by parcel as all the parcels have very different soils and altitudes. In the cellar, the domaine has opted for an organic style of vinification. This ensures that the grapes are treated more naturally and gently. Wines age in a cellar carved into mountain rock. This provides natural temperature control and offers energy savings.
This table wine from the Castille-et-Léon wine region in Spain is blended from Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated on a terrain of sand, limestone and pebbles. The way it is vinified makes for a soft, moreish wine with pronounced but blended tannins. Unsurprisingly, it is perfect with meat dishes, but also pairs nicely with grilled fish.
