Information
Jérôme Bretaudeau acquired 9 hectares of vines in Gétigné in the early 2000s. After a few more purchases, his estate totalled 10 hectares of organically cultivated vines by 2005. This is a leading light of the appellation and a sound investment.
This Muscadet is produced from a metamorphic rock terroir and aged for 14 months in egg-shaped tanks. Keeping the lees in suspension gives the wine a subtle creamy quality and additional flavours and aromas, including hints of citrus fruits and white flowers. The palate is beautifully saline and very persistent. This wine is ideal with seafood dishes.
