Information
About the producer

Located on the highest point of the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes, the Château Rieussec neighbours Yquem and is home to a contiguous vineyard planted in sandy clay or gravel clay soil. This cru's reputation bears testimony to the exceptional quality of its wines. The latter feature a well-defined golden hue and are complex, powerful and concentrated.

About the wine

Les Carmes de Rieussec is the château’s second wine, made from the domain’s young vines. It is aged for 18 months in barriques. It is impossible to resist its full-bodied nature, its intense aromas (citrus in particular), its beautiful texture, its power but also its welcome freshness which is necessary for its conservation. It is a sweet wine with great aging potential.
