Information
France is not the only country where a love of the terroir encourages winegrowers to adopt biodynamic practices, as has been demonstrated by the Felton Road domaine in Central Otago New Zealand since 2002. For twenty years, Nigel Greening's vineyard, which is split between four outstanding parcels, has been producing authentic, delicate wines while respecting the soil and vines. These wines set a benchmark, as is demonstrated by their 13th position in the Drinks International magazine rankings.
Cornish Point Pinot Noir is a single-parcel cuvée from a terroir located on an old gold-miner’s colony and surrounded by water. The wine is raised for 13 months in barrels (35% new French oak barrels). The wine gives off a bouquet of violet and roses; on the palate it is fruity with a nice structure. The finish is complex and svelte, silky and juicy.
