About the producer

Dog Point domain takes its name from the first colonies (for the most part from England) and the sheep that accompanied them, which were guarded by dogs. The lost dogs had a tendency to regroup on a hill overlooking the Wairau River which was nicknamed Dog Point. This name was therefore given to one of the first vineyards in the region (to the north of the South Island). This family owned domain is run by Matt Sutherland. One of New Zealand's leading domains!

About the wine

This Pinot noir is very aromatic, with flavours of red fruits and plum with floral notes and a touch of liquorice. The palate is at once supple and concentrates, with the same red fruit flavours. This wine would be the perfect pairing for duck, pigeon or quail.
