Information
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is grown in the upper soils of the famous hill of Corton. Domaine Lucien Muzard et Fils vinifies its grapes from parcels near the slopes of Pernand (to the west) and Aloxe (to the east). The vines have average ages of 80 and 50 years respectively, and grow in stony scree soils covered in a thin layer of clay. The Chardonnay grapes are picked by hand and then vinified and matured in oak. This exclusive vintage is widely acclaimed for its unmatched finish, density and ability to reveal a rich, opulent yet taut character. A wine to be cellared for around ten years, giving it time to reveal its wide range of aromas.
