About the producer
David Abreu is the third generation to run these Napa Valley vineyards. He learnt the ropes in California and Bordeaux. He has managed to raise his properties to the highest reaches of Californian wine hierarchy. His 1997 Madrona Ranch was given an 100 point score by Parker.
About the wine
Abreu is one of the finest Cabernet blends in California. The comparison with Bordeaux comes to mind immediately when tasting these American cuvées. These grape varieties produce wines with a slightly more pronounced sweetness and intense fruit. Taste after 5 to 15 years in your cellar.
