Information
Albert Bichot is an illustrious maison of Burgundy. The family settled in Burgundy in 1350 but it was only in the 19th century that it became interested in the vine and vineyards. In 1831, Bernard Bichot developed a trading house in his name. Since 1996, Alberic Bichot (6th generation) has been working to raise the quality of wines produced. He acquired many plots, meaning that the maison now has 100 hectares of vineyards. Here we find the Clos Frantin on the Côte de Nuits, the Domaine du Pavillon and the Domaine Adélie on the Chalonnaise coast as well as the Domaine Long Depaquit in Chablis. These wines are certified as organic. At the same time, the maison carries out its trading business by purchasing only carefully selected grapes. The wines are all vinified in Beaune under the leadership of the very talented Alain Serveaux.
Morey Saint-Denis wines are now some of the most sought-after in the Côte de Nuits. Competition from Gevrey-Chambertin meant that this was not always the case however. Morey wines have won enthusiasts over with their refined quality and tannins. This premier cru is a perfect illustration - concentrated and intense with astonishing precision on the palate. Enjoy after maturing for four to eight years.
