About the producer
This cuvée was made from a single parcel of Château de la Bienfaisance. This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru has got all the attributes of a garage wine, a very popular concept on the right bank of Bordeaux since the 2000s. Vines are planted on limestone soils. Sanctus is the fruit of a collaboration between Didier Peytour and Stéphane Derenoncourt. The wine is aged in barrels between 18 to 22 months, without racking.
About the wine
This Saint-Émilion is very appealing and gives a pleasing velvetiness on the palate. It should be kept for between four and fifteen years before drinking, depending on the vintage.
