Information
Domaine de Triennes is situated in Nans-les-Pins and was created in 1989 by two Burgundy icons: Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, alongside Parisian friend Michel Macaux. The property was baptised Triennes after Triennia, the festival held for Bacchus which was held every three years during the Roman period. The vineyard covers 46 hectares and is south-facing, with a clay-limestone terroir and slight altitude (400 m), offering a cool microclimate. Planting here is unique, growing traditional varietals alongside many which are not immediately associated with this region, including: Chardonnay, Viognier, Cinsault, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah. Rémy Laugier has managed vinification since 1997. They received organic certification in 2014. This is an exciting domaine producing tremendous wines.
The Sainte Fleur Viognier cuvée is vinified in stainless steel vats. Delivering intense fruit aromas (peach, apricot), honey and sumptuous florals (honeysuckle, acacia). It has an aromatically rich palate with distinct freshness and minerality. Great food pairing versatility, especially good alongside exotic flavours or seafood.
