Information
Domaine Alain Gras, located in Saint Romain, has fine parcels of land in the appellations of Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses and Meursault. As an 15-hectare family property, the domaine produces very fine white wines with a clean style and which can be appreciated relatively young. Alain Gras is an excellent place for lovers of affordable Côte de Beaune wine.
The village of Auxey-Duresses was overshadowed by its prestigious neighbours for many years but became famous thanks to Domaine d'Auvenay. The appellation produces some very fine red and white wines which can be enjoyed young but also have good ageing potential. This exuberant and very drinkable Pinot has forest fruit and morello cherry notes. It is a delight to drink either on its own or with a meal, after aging for between one and five years.
