Information
Founded in 1896, Bodegas Lustau is one of the most iconic Jerez de la Frontera “Almacenistas”. Its impressive bodega, which nestles in the Moorish walls of this historic town, produces some of the finest sherries in this appellation.
Palo Cortado Península comes from the sun baked region of Jerez de la Frontera. This very dry wine is the product of exceptional, local and traditional know-how. It is aged following a Solera system, whereby barrels are stacked in tiers and part of the contents of the top barrels is decanted into the barrels in the tier below, and so on. The wine is a copper-tinged amber, with pronounced legs. The nose is intensely aromatic with a bouquet of dried fruit and toast notes and a strong saline quality. The palate is powerful with distinctive saline notes and a lingering finish.
