Priorat wines are renowned for being robust and full-bodied. However, two leading figures, Sergi Ferrer-Salat and Raül Bobet, have joined forces with the ambition of creating a wine in the Burgundy style. They own vineyards in Porrera, one of the cooler areas in the Priorat region due to prevailing winds from the north-east. The vines are managed in an environmentally friendly manner without the use of weedkillers or insecticides.

The Selecció Especial is produced from old Carignan vines. It is matured for 18 months in barrels and at least 11 months in the bottle and reveals a dense and polished texture, with intense violet and blueberry notes. This fresh and persistent wine is produced in very low volumes (less than 3000 bottles) so it is difficult to find.
