About the producer

Quinta de la Rosa in the Douro region was a christening gift to Claire Feuheerd in 1906. Her granddaughter Sophia revived the domaine, assisted by her father, Tim Bergqvist, with the ambition of making it the reference in the region. Oenologist Jorge Moreira joined the business in 2002. The vineyard is located on the south-eastern bank of the Douro and the vines rise from the riverbank up to an altitude of 400 metres above sea level. They have an average age of about 40 years. The ports produced here are characterised by a great aromatic subtlety.

About the wine

This fortified wine is produced from a traditional blend of port wines. It is fresh and well balanced, concentrated and opulent, with beautiful aromatic complexity (flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and menthol in particular).
