François Crochet manages this family-run domain in Bué in the heart of Sancerre country. The vines are cultivated sustainably (grass for ground cover). The wines have a strong personality and are a perfect expression of their terroir. All the cuvées produced are exemplars of elegance and finesse and the range has earned François Crochet an excellent reputation in Sancerre winegrowing circles.
The Sancerre Réserve from Marcigoué is matured in 500-litre barrels for one year (50% new oak). The nose opens up with fresh red fruits and spices. On the palate, the wine is well-rounded, with aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry.
