Bourgogne Nicolas Maillet
Information
About the producer

In 1999, Nicolas Maillet took over the family domaine (which had existed for four generations) following his father who then brought his grapes to the local cooperative. It has doubled its surface area to 7 hectares, 5.4ha of which are Chardonnay on the slopes of the small village of Verzé in Saône-et-Loire, in the heart of the Mâconnais. The vineyard has been certified as organic since 2011. Vinification is essentially done in vats with minimum intervention.

About the wine

Matured in oak casks for one year, this particularly aromatic Burgundy reveals silky tannins. It will also go well with charcuterie and meats in sauce: in short, very accessible, just as a Burgundy should be.
