Information
Domaine Patrick Javillier extends over 10 hectares in the Côte de Beaune. Originally from a family of wine growers in Meursault, Patrick Javillier studied enology before following in his father’s footsteps. Since 2008, he has been making wine with his daughter Marion. His wines present a rather classic style, but considerable elegance and good aging potential.
Corton-Charlemagne comes from a very small, south-facing plot. The grapes are harvested fairly early to avoid over-ripening and to maintain sufficient acidity to balance the richness typical of this appellation. On the nose, the wine expresses intense aromas of citrus, hazelnut and walnut. In the mouth, the aromas tend more towards white fruit (especially apple), with a good acidity, a certain minerality, power and concentration and an attractive finish. This wine is a perfect accompaniment for fish, shellfish and poultry.
