Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.

Gevrey Clos Saint-Jacques Vieilles Vignes offers a very attractive nose, with black berry aromas and notes of undergrowth, brambles, spice, menthol and licorice. The mouth is fleshy, full and flavoursome (reprising the scents on the nose, as well as notes of leather), with velvety tannins. The fruity, peppery finish has good persistence. This beautiful wine can be enjoyed with red meat and game dishes.
