Information
Domaine Charlopin-Parizot, located in Gevrey Chambertin, was created in 1977 and then taken over by Philippe Charlopin. It currently covers 25 hectares of beautiful terroirs, distributed over the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Chablis, with several grand crus. Its wines are succulent with superb élevage.
Clos De Vougeot is a powerful and flavoursome cuvée that needs to be aged for a few years. The nose is generous, with aromas of ripe fruit (blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry) and empyreumatic, violet and sweet spicy notes. The palate combines creaminess, power and finesse with fruitiness, a nice hint of tannins and superb length. This wine pairs well with various dishes including braised red meat, game and some types of cheese (Époisses, Langres).
