Information
The estate can trace its roots back to the 17th century. Today, brother and sister team Paolo and Lucia Bianchini manage the estate with Paolo's children. They are all keen to honour the traditional techniques handed down by their parents. Located south-west of Montalcino, the domaine spans 220 hectares, 56 of which are devoted exclusively to vines.
This wine is a pure Sangiovese produced from the vineyards bearing its name, covering 12 hectares. Vinification is conducted in thermoregulated stainless vats, and the wine ages for 36 months in oak casks before undergoing 8 months of bottle élevage prior to sale. The bottle should be opened one hour before serving at ambient temperature in large glasses: the wine will then develop an intense, complex bouquet with rich fruity, spicy stewed fruit notes. The palate is harmonious, and the wine retains its elegance even after several years of keeping. It is the perfect companion for grilled meats and game. A real treat of a pairing for lovers of mature cheese.
