Information
Created in 1970 by an icon of the Condrieu appellation, Jean Pinchon, the domaine was taken over in 1985 by his son-in-law, Robert Niero, who manages operations with a deft hand. The vines cover seven hectares, planted on the steep terraces of the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu appellations, and are grown in an environmentally-respectful way. These wines are coveted for their purity and great balance.
The result of the vinification of vieilles vignes grown on the terraces of Chéry, this distinguished and elegant Racrieu has a mouth-watering, honeyed roundness, undoubtedly due to the malolactic fermentation and the 12-month élevage in oak barrels and stainless steel vats. Particularly lingering and pure, it pairs beautifully with gastro dishes such as foie gras, fine fish or sweetbreads with morels.
