Information
Created in 1970 by an icon of the Condrieu appellation, Jean Pinchon, the domaine was taken over in 1985 by his son-in-law, Robert Niero, who manages operations with a deft hand. The vines cover seven hectares, planted on the steep terraces of the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu appellations, and are grown in an environmentally-respectful way. These wines are coveted for their purity and great balance.
Made from granitic soils, the Viognier that makes up this Condrieu has been harvested by hand and been subject to malolactic fermentation. Aged for one year in oak barrels and stainless-steel vats, it exudes an aromatic bouquet which is both fresh and intense. Rich in notes of fresh stone fruits and flowers, it heralds an equally energetic and harmonious palate. Its beautiful volume which has come from the malolactic fermentation and élevage in wood is balanced by a highly seductive minerality.
