Information
The St. Urbans-Hof domaine, named after the German patron saint of wine producers, is located in Leiwen in the German Moselle region. It was founded in 1947 by the grandfather of the current owner, Nik Weis. The vineyard also extends into the Saar and now covers 34 hectares. The domaine is mostly planted with Riesling, with a small amount of Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Blanc (Weissburgunder in German).
Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Auslese exudes aromas of white-fleshed fruit (peach) and white flowers with a hint of tea. On the palate, citrus aromas (lemon), a fresh quality to perfectly balance the richness, and excellent length show this wine off in all its glory.
