Information
The Hofstatter domaine, created in 1907 by Josef Hofstätter, spans 50 hectares, making it one of the largest vineyards in the region. The vines are located at between 250 and 800 metres above sea level, which means that several different grape varieties can be cultivated: Gewürztraminer, Pinot blanc and Pinot Noir, Lagrein, and Schiava. Fourth-generation owner Martin Foradori Hofstätter is now at the helm of the domaine. He produces fine cuvées, notably his Pinots Noirs, which are among the best in Italy.
Riserva Mazon – a pure Pinot Noir – has a deep ruby-red colour. Its bouquet exudes aromas of small red berries and spices. The palate has volume, richness and roundness.
