Information
Domaine Françoise and Denis Clair was created in 1986 with initially only 5 hectares in Santenay, from the plots of the Clair family. The vineyard has gradually extended to today's 15 hectares. Since 2000, the son Jean-Baptiste has joined his parents and works in the field; they also set up a small trading business to expand their range. The wines of this domaine are vinified in a modern style, with succulent reds and a fine, refined style of white.
Clos Tavannes Santenay is characterised by its refined, precise nose, with delicate red berry aromas, mixed with subtle woody notes. The palate offers a rare elegance and complexity, with very refined tannins, beautiful fruity flavours and a very attractive length. This wine pairs very well with meats in sauce (especially game).
