Domaine Françoise and Denis Clair was created in 1986 with initially only 5 hectares in Santenay, from the plots of the Clair family. The vineyard has gradually extended to today's 15 hectares. Since 2000, the son Jean-Baptiste has joined his parents and works in the field; they also set up a small trading business to expand their range. The wines of this domaine are vinified in a modern style, with succulent reds and a fine, refined style of white.

Clos des Mouches Santenay is the domaine's fruitiest red wine. On the nose, it delivers powerful, intense aromas of ripe red fruit. The same fruitiness is echoed in the mouth with great indulgence; the substance is rich, the tannins are silky and the aromatic persistence superb.
