Information
About the producer

Domaine Henri Clerc et Fils was founded in the 16th century in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. In 2002, his descendant Bernard Clerc, retired and sold a large part of his vines to Vincent Girardin. The latter vinifies and matures his wines at Meursault, after manual harvesting of the prestigious vines of the Côte de Beaune, such as Bienvenue, Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet. The time taken for aging in oak barrels (of which 30% are renewed each year), varies between 11 and 13 months

About the wine

Henri Clerc's Corton-Charlemagne is a textbook example of balance and nuance. Less rich than the grand crus of Chassagne and Puligny, it is a wine of incredible sophistication.
