Information
The domaine Jardins de Babylone is a small (3-hectare) vineyard located on the hillside of the village of Aubertin. It is owned by the Dagueneau family, who also own property in Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre. Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau, who succeeded his father Didier Dagueneau, is now in charge. The domaine produces wines of remarkable finesse, extremely aromatic and with a low alcohol content. Les Jardins de Babylone is an up-and-coming domain in this appellation.
Manual harvests and fermentation in new oak are used to produce this top-secret cuvée. Its delicious, candied aromas are incredibly pure, and will lift salty dishes such as grilled lobster or curried prawns. This cuvée is excellent for drinking now or laying down.
