About the producer
The history of the Château Clauzet goes back to 1840. At that time the property - which had a different name - belonged to the Bernard family and stretched over 80 hectares. The buildings were built under the Second Empire and the castle took its current name at the wedding of Anne Olympe Bernard (whose castle was the dowry) and Pierre Ulysse Clauzet. Today, the vineyard belonging to the Belgian Baron Maurice Velge has 23 hectares in Saint-Estèphe.
About the wine
This wine has a beautiful structure, with nice tannins. It has a great aging potential.
