Information
It has now been 30 years that Christophe Pichon has passionately tended his 18 hectares of vines, spread over the appellations of Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Cornas. Corentin moved to the domain in 2012, having graduated in viticulture and enology. Alexis was next, following a year gaining experience in Australia, he came on board to take over the sales side of the business. Mark our words, dear reader, because wines from this domain are renowned for their subtlety and elegance, and offer true reflections of these prestigious terroirs.
This cuvée is made from 100% Syrah cultivated on a south-facing hillside and barrel-matured in new oak for 18 months. The property restricts yields to 35 hectolitres per hectare. The wine is deep purple in colour with a nose of blackberries, plums and cocoa, and a hint of wood. Its rich palate has a well-defined tannic structure that becomes more refined over time.
