About the producer

The Mondavis embody the archetypal American wine industry success story. They are a major name in Californian wine and were the first to import oak barrels from France to age their wines. The Mondavis wine empire started to grow in 1970s when large-scale marketing techniques enhanced the profile of Napa Valley wines.

About the wine

Cabernet Sauvignon lends this wine attractive aromas of black berries and pepper. In the mouth, it offers a dense texture with touches of woodiness and cocoa. Elevage lasts for nearly two years in barrels, and the wide variety of grapes lend the wine great complexity: as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, there is Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot.
