Information
Cyril Fhal has been pampering his vines since his arrival in Roussillon in the early 2000s. So great has been his input that his wines are imbued with this delicate love, revealing themselves to delight wine-lovers with their precision, refinement and elegance. The key to his success? The biodynamic cultivation of all five hectares of his vines. His old Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Maccabeu vines are located at an altitude of between 200 and 250 metres, and their yields are restricted to 18hl/ha.
As its name suggests, this cuvée is produced from young Grenache vines that are cultivated biodynamically on a gneiss soil terroir and harvested by hand. In the winery, they are handled with Cyril Fahl’s characteristic sensitivity and care. To begin with, this food lovers’ wine has a very fresh nose, but in a short time more complex notes of pepper and flower develop. The palate is refined, elegant and very supple, while the fresh, clean finish is sustained by the characteristic power found in wines in this region.
