Information
Located in the Rias Baixas appellation, the Pittacum winery has been working since the 1990s to create wines renowned for their personality and consistent quality. The winery has 40 hectares of parcels cultivated in the foothills of the nearby mountains.
Pittacum is a varietal wine made with indigenous Mencia grapes cultivated on vines aged between 50 and 80 years old. The wine is matured on the lees for eight months and then bottle-aged at the property for two years before commercial release. To appreciate its freshness, delicate fruitiness and tannin grain, it is advisable to decant this wine before serving. It makes a superb pairing with Iberico ham and stews.
