Information
While chatting in a Mallorcan bar in 1994, a small group of friends decided to create their own wine. Without wasting any time, they began to buy a few parcels of local grape varieties. One of these was Callet, which helped to establish the domaine's reputation, and Mantonegro and Fogoneu are also cultivated on 12 hectares of clay, stone and gravel soils. The domaine has been instrumental in bringing about a revolution in Mallorcan wine with its delicate, elegant wines which have enhanced the appeal of these indigenous grape varieties.
AN/2, the property's second wine, is a blend of indigenous varieties with a touch of Syrah added to give it structure. The grapes are vinified the traditional way and the wine is matured in French and American oak for 13 months. This deep and elegant wine has its own very distinctive character. Its cherry red colour unveils an expressive bouquet of Mediterranean aromatic herbs with earthy, toasted and red fruit notes. The texture of this balanced and fleshy wine makes for some superb food pairings. Drink it within its first 10 years.
