Information
The Luciano Sandrone domaine was created in 1978 in the heart of the village of Barolo in the Piedmont. Luciano’s wines have rapidly established an international reputation. The vineyard spans 27 hectares planted with Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo and the domaine is worked without chemicals, although it does not have organic accreditation. Ageing is carried out in 500-litre barrels to preserve the subtlety of the wines. They have a distinctive intense fruity flavour and velvety tannins.
On the nose, this wine expresses aromas of black berries and vanilla, with a beautiful minerality. There are also spicy coffee notes; while in the mouth, this wine has a profile emphasising woodland fruits and plum aromas. Its acidity and tannins are perfectly balanced, and its finish is long.
