Information
One hundred years ago, Valentine and her husband Arthur Delon inherited 36 hectares of vineyard that were passed down from generation to generation. Over the decades, the domain expanded and today boasts 64 hectares; 50 of these are planted with vines. In 1999, their descendant Emmanuelle moved to the farm to become a winegrower with the support of her son. Her partner Luc Vignal, a former cellarman, joined the business in 2008 and helps them produce their 11 cuvées. Most of the wines are single variety and organic. The vineyard is planted in the south of the Costières-de-Nimes appellation on a terroir of galets roulés that allows the rainwater to seep between the pebbles and feed the vines in the dry summer months. 10 of the 50 hectares of vines are grown organically with traditional cultivation methods.
100% Carignan, this Vin de France is produced in line with organic viticulture principles. The grape comes from hillsides of pebbles and pudding stones, and has benefited from strong sunshine. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts before carbonic maceration and maturation for 6 months in concrete vats. Refined, fresh and easy to drink, this wine offers a seductive fresh fruitiness and touches of white pepper. Delicious as an accompaniment to lasagne with Mediterranean vegetables.
